Oxford Gardens is Peter Volz’s expansion into vegetable production for market. He started out in a couple of community garden plots, but over the years his enthusiasm grew and with it the ground he covered with exceptional lettuces and greens. Now, at his farm off Oxford Road, Pete produces an ever expanding range of carefully cultivated vegetables, from spicy arugula and mizuna to tomatoes that climb to the ceilings of his elegant greenhouses. The gardens are tucked behind a row of trees and quietly survey the distant Front Range.
