MASA Seed Foundation

Although new to the Meadow Lark line-up, MASA Seed Foundation's founder, Richard Pecoraro, is not new to our  operation nor to Boulder, CO. We worked with him - as he was owner of Abbondanza Organic Seeds and Produce - in our earliest years, and you can tell. He is a natural host with generations of wisdom to share with the community. He will gladly take the wheel of Bella or Alice and steer them into the trickiest of spaces (with the best views) with ease. And the joy we get from crafting dinner menus around MASA's unique and beautiful produce varietals reminds us why we do what we do.

When you set foot on MASA's farm, you feel an immediate sense of community. The property is constantly bustling with energy and learning, people coming and going.

MASA focuses on re-establishing food and seed growing as fertile ground for creating community. They believe that by reconnecting with the earth and food, we can reconnect with each other and our diverse cultural roots. Their goal is to create wider access to fresh and healthy food and seed for low-income, underprivileged, undernourished and diverse populations. MASA Seed Foundation is also a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization! Check out their website to learn more about their community education and volunteer opportunities.
